And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. - Acts 16:25 (KJV)
We all know this scripture from the bible, but something remarkable about the story is that
Paul and Silas didn’t just pray. They added to their prayers, they added PRAISE to it.
I love the fact that, they weren’t quiet or timid about their praise to God.
The Bible records that they they were so loud that the prisoners heard them.
At times you wonder if your prayers are being heard; ADD PRAISE to it. The bible says that God inhabits the praises of the people, this means that God comes down when you praise.
That is exactly what happened here. He came down to inhabit the praises of Paul and Silas, the prison couldn’t shut Him out or contain him.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
When God comes, every chain is broken! - Acts 16:26 (KJV)
