Hindrances to Healing Part 1

This is a summary of Pastor Obi's teaching on Hindrances to Healing.

He noted that many people remain unhealed due to ignorance and encouraged attendees to share the series with others. The Pastor also mentioned a recent clip from the previous week's sermon, which discussed different types of unbelief.

1. Unbelief, Doubt, Worry, and Faith

The pastor discussed the concept of unbelief, differentiating it from doubt, and highlighted that worrying about the future and finances can indicate unbelief. He emphasised that unbelief is not just doubting a specific situation but can also be a lack of faith in God's existence. He urged the audience to tackle doubt and worry to combat unbelief and seek a mindset change.

Word Intake and Healing

The Pastor spoke passionately about the importance of ingesting God's word and the dangers of doubting or storing it. He also solicited healing in various areas of life. He declared that by the end of the series, they would become giants of faith who consistently receive answers and miracles.

2. Natural Laws and Healing

He emphasised that ignoring these natural laws, such as the law of gravity, can lead to harm. He then focused on the natural laws of health, explaining that breaking them can lead to sickness. He warned that even after receiving a miraculous healing, one must continue to obey these natural laws to maintain their health. Pastor Obi emphasized the need for churches to preach more about these natural laws to prevent confusion about healing.

Understanding God's Laws of Health

The Pastor discussed the importance of understanding God's modus operandi, emphasizing the role of natural laws in health, as outlined in the Bible. He cited the example of the Israelites in the wilderness, who were able to avoid diseases due to strict adherence to dietary and sanitation laws added to God being their Healer. The Pastor stressed that breaking natural laws of health, despite faith in God's healing, could lead to illness.

Watch your weight

He urged the congregation to keep the natural laws of health as a way of keeping God's Word, citing weight management as an example. He also spoke about the role of the Holy Spirit in helping him maintain his health.

Healthy Lifestyle After 40

The pastor emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially after the age of 40. He recommended limiting intake of unhealthy foods and avoiding genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and processed foods. He also highlighted the dangers of consuming excessive sugar, which he linked to many terminal illnesses. The pastor encouraged reducing carbohydrate intake, eliminating fizzy drinks, and increasing water consumption, while also advising to keep coffee and tea intake to a minimum due to their caffeine content. He suggested following this strict regimen for at least 5 days a week, with one day allowed for indulging in any desired foods.

Health and Balance: Pastor's Wellness Advice

The Pastor stressed the importance of physical exercise and reducing sedentary time for better health. He recommended at least 30 minutes of high-intensity exercise daily and advised taking a walk every evening. The Pastor shared his personal success in losing weight and improving his health by reducing his screen time and getting adequate sleep, which he advised should be between 6 to 8 hours. He highlighted the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle and the benefits of adhering to natural health laws as part of obeying God's laws. The Pastor emphasized the importance of a balance between natural and spiritual principles, using the analogy of flying with two wings. He also mentioned that while he does not drink alcohol, moderate alcohol consumption is not always wrong, citing biblical examples.

The Pastor's Guide to Longevity Through Natural Wine

The pastor discussed his research on the secret to longevity, focusing on the wine consumption habits in Mediterranean cities with high numbers of centenarians. He highlighted a specific type of wine, processed naturally and stored in the ground for months, which he claimed contained significant medicinal properties due to its ability to absorb nutrients from the soil. The pastor emphasized that this type of wine was not just alcohol, but a type of medicine, as referenced in the New Testament. He advised against commercial wines, urging the consumption of natural wine for its health benefits.

Moderation and Self-Control: Key to Health and Peace

The pastor emphasized the importance of moderation and self-control in maintaining health and peace. He highlighted the dangers of addiction and the negative effects of emotional imbalance on physical health and mental wellbeing. The pastor encouraged congregants to manage their emotions and keep their lives under control to avoid worries and anxiety. He noted that constant fear, anxiety, or sadness pumps excess hormones into the bloodstream, leading to sickness and disease. He also warned against letting the enemy of fear into one's life, using the example of Jesus sleeping calmly in a stormy boat. The pastor concluded by urging congregants to take responsibility for guarding their hearts and minds, as this is the solution to many problems in life.
