Just Pray!
Just pray whether you feel like it or not!
A lot of saints have come to me saying they feel God doesn’t hear their prayer. One actually said he feels his prayer doesn’t cross his ceiling.
Many has come saying their prayer life is suffering because they don’t pray up to an hour.
Some say they don’t pray as they used to any more.
Listen!
In the Kingdom, we are not moved by what we see, hear or feel, these are the voices of the flesh. We are moved by the word of God which feeds our faith.
Judging with your feelings if God heard you or not is like testing a diamond stone for authenticity with your tongue or testing your soup with a stethoscope. There’s no relationship between them, it won’t work, you will be MISLED every time you do that.
ANYTIME you pray, God hears. When you think He didn’t hear, you make God a liar. In fact, you put it to Him and to anyone listening to you that He doesn’t have ears, and He is deaf.
(Read 1 Peter 3:12, 1 John 5:15, Jeremiah 29:12-13, John 14:14)
If you feel your prayer life is dead because you don’t pray for up to an hour, you have simply joined the condemnation army of the enemy. You are inflicting self harm on yourself.
Please read Romans 8:1, 33 (please stop and read it now before continuing).
There’s no condemnation, no one can lay any charge against you, heaven doesn’t entertain it. satan knows this fact so he gets you to lay charge against yourself. Guess what? he is highly successfully in doing that. he has learnt to out-source that department of hell to the believer. he gets the believer to work against himself or herself while he goes about weightier matters.
Don’t get me wrong is it good to pray for an hour? I tell you it is better to pray for more if you can. We have put praying for one hour as a law for believers and have succeeded in yoking those in Grace under a Law.
Praying for an hour is fantastic but beyond the cross the only instruction about length of prayer is found in I Thessalonians 5:17 - “Pray continually” or as KJV puts it, “Pray ceaselessly”.
If you want to be yoked under any law, then you should pray without stopping. But that isn’t what that scripture is talking about, it means that aside your dedicated prayer time (devotion) as you go about your daily activity of life, you should always commune with God (Holy Spirit).
Prayer is communion or communication with God, this kind of prayer should not cease.
When you whisper your daily encounters to the Holy Spirit in your heart - you are praying.
When you ask Him for assistance during the day - you are praying.
When you report a matter to Him - you just prayed.
When carry questions in your heart - you are praying.
When you say you don’t pray as long and with fury as you used to, try the above. Pray continually. When He wants you to pray with fury, you will know he will nudge you to, and all of a sudden without control you will find yourself praying with fury. When He wants you to pray softly you will also know. Don’t judge the impact of your prayer with your SENSORY organs.
Constant communication and communion with God is really TRANSFORMATIVE. It changes you inside out, it makes you becomes more and more like Him. Because in the place of communion, a man is open and vulnerable. When you learn this type of communion, you will start manifesting the mind of Christ which you already have. You will know Him better, He will open up Himself to you and show you His Goodness, Love, Mercy.
You REALLY start KNOWING Him. He moves from being just God, to being your Father, Friend, Lover...
In the place of constant, consistent communion, you will experience this:
